RCPP & Carbon Credit Funding
Project Bedrock sits on a committee that is looking to increase carbon credit funding for parts of Texas karst country. Funding could be limited to our shallow soils. However, studies suggest the sub-humid portions of Texas karst country could be acting as significant carbon sinks due to increased atmospheric carbon. Proving this is true would increase carbon credit financing for landowners. Contact us if you would like to be involved, and/or want to financially support this initiative.
FUTURE PROGRAM
Prairie Hay Roll-out Program
Develop a grant-fund program using highway ROW to seed, harvest, and deliver prairie hay bales to qualified landowners to help jump-start the regeneration of degraded karst country. Potential partners could be TxDOT, American Youthworks, Native American Seed, Sustainable Growth Texas, and others.
