Romey is the executive director of the Devil's River Conservancy where he leads strategic initiatives to protect Texas' pristine waterways and landscapes.
A certified Wildlife Biologist and Level 3 North American Cyber Tracker with over 15 years of experience in wildlife, land, and water conservation, he has assisted landowners with adaptive management strategies to enhance habitat and ecological outcomes. To hone his skills, Romey participated in a 9-month wildlife tracking intensive with Earth Native Wilderness School. He holds a Master's degree in Wildlife Ecology and actively participates with conservation organizations, including Texas Parks & Wildlife advisory committees and Texas Chapter of the Wildlife Society former president.
